Basic Rider Course 3 Wheel License Waiver
MSF's 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse is taught on school-provided 3-wheel training units that have two wheels in the front 和 one in the back. You may bring your own street legal 3-wheel motorcycle to the class if you prefer. Proof of current registration 和 insurance required. Motorcycle/side car rigs 和 sit-in car-style 3-wheel vehicles are not permitted in the class. If you plan to ride a 2-wheel motorcycle, you must take the BRC or BRC-2 for license waiver course. This course is sponsored by the Motorcycle Safety 基金会 和 approved for NYS DMV for 3-wheel only motorcycle license.
You are required to complete the MSF online eCourse within 30 days of the classroom. The link will be emailed to you 和 there is no additional charge to take the eCourse. Please also view the Can-Am On-Road Safety Video 和 BRP REP Safety Video.

Basic Rider Course License Waiver
In the Basic RiderCourse you will learn:
- Street strategies to avoid trouble 和 stay safe.
- How to maneuver in tough situations.
- Swerving, avoiding collisions, special situations, lane changes, passing 和 avoiding hazards.
The Basic RiderCourse provides classroom 和 actual motorcycle/scooter operator training in a controlled, off-street environment. No experience is necessary, however, you must be able to ride a bicycle. A STRONG sense of balance is required! 学生 must possess a valid NYS driver’s license. Upon successful completion of the Basic RiderCourse, a NYSMSP road test waiver card will be issued. You take it to NYS DMV, apply for the motorcycle permit, if you do not have one, present waiver card 和 pay any fees 和 you will receive the “M” endorsement. You are required to complete the MSF online eCourse within 30 days of the classroom. The link will be emailed to you 和 there is no additional charge to take the eCourse.

Introductory Motorcycle Experience
This two-hour experience provides students with an opportunity to become familiar with a motorcycle/scooter 和 its controls in a low-risk, controlled environment. It is designed for the student who has no riding experience 和 isn't sure whether or not they should take formal training. You will not learn how to ride a motorcycle/scooter, but you will experience a its operational characteristics through an initial h和s-on experience, allowing you to consider the possibility of formally learning to ride. You should consider yourself successful in this course regardless if you choose to learn to ride or not. This experience does not guarantee success in the Basic RiderCourse (BRC). Group size is limited to four students 和 one IME RiderCoach. You do not need a motorcycle permit for this introductory course.
